For the past month or so I've been trying to find this story I read a while ago. But, not having much to go on, I've had no success.
All that I can remember is this: -I have this general feeling of white. Bright, clean, white. I don't know if it ever mentioned white, but it's a big feeling. -I believe it was a short story, possibly in a collection with other writers. -There was something about a small, wiry creature that got locked in a closet? -Someone was lying on a bed.
Too bad I haven't the slightest idea which story it is, but I'll watch with interest to see if anyone else does.

It's been a long time since I've read it, but you aren't by any chance thinking of Evelyn Lief's "Bed Sheets Are White" from Ellison's Again, Dangerous Visions anthology, are you?

-sigh- And it's the perfect kind of day to curl up with a "white" story too. We've got close to three inches of snow. ._.

James Joyce is the only thing I read which gave feeling to 'white,' in "Ulysses." However, I don't recall a wiry creature. (been too many years... I just remember white being used as feeling white on a woman's skin.)
Or it could be the old 1960ish movie, "the brain that wouldn't die". very funny b type movie that is terribly boring with their philosophical views. However, it's the only thing I remember with a creature in the closet! (or that somewhat remake in the 80's with Steve Martin-don't recall the name).. seems that the brain in the jar mentioned something about a strong feeling with brightness.. ???) I dunno?!! LOL

Possibly one of James White's "Hospital Station" stories. I don't have them available now, but that sounds like one or two I vaguely remember.
