My ex-roommate asked her father to buy her Anne Rice's house when it went on the market.

He considered it.

Count Dracula
The archetypal vampire lord immortalized by Bram Stoker's novel may be history's most famous vampire. But was he Mormon? Well, Church genealogical records prove conclusively that Dracula was not born Mormon. Although it is likely that missionaries tracted out his castle, and he may have taken the discussions, there is no evidence that Dracula ever joined the Church. This is not surprising, as he had a nasty addiction to tea.

I'm surprised they didn't put Vincent Price on the list. Of course, while he is famous, he is neither a vampire nor a Mormon . . . but he has played both.

Ironically, he also played the last surviving human after a disease turned everyone else into vampires (he had been bitten by a bat years ago and built up an immunity to the disease).

I remember seeing that film with Price as Joseph Smith. He actually did a pretty nifty job at it, if not for the stereotypical-soft-spoken-gentle-preacher vibe. I kept expecting his eyes to widen and to reveal fangs or something, or that Peter Lorre might end up playing Orson Hyde, but Price kept it straight all the way to his death scene.

(And no crawling out of his grave, even. Disappointing.)
