I saw that, its funny. The policeman at the end is saying something like "That guy needs some cheering up?"

Good thing the made that in Japan, if it had come out in the US Lucas would have skinned the actors alive and eaten the director.

Doesn't US copyright law protect parody?

Yep, parody is soundly protected by copyright law, and this almost certainly falls under that (its making a commentary on an original work, using material from that work, and is not possible to confuse with that original work; it thinks darth vader seems a silly villain).

Lucas wouldn't have cared much even if it weren't protected, though, he's quite lenient about copyright infringement.
