My temp job ends next Friday.
If by some fluke I get another job (That 14 dollar an hour job that I want soooooooo badly) would it be rude to leave early? I figured I want to just wait until the 14th when it ends to leave it instead of being rude and just leaving or giving three day notice, but if I do not have a good job by the 17th I will lose my mind.

Now to apply to at least 3-5 jobs online and call up about 2 or 3 places tomorrow.

Rude, yes.

Worth it? Yes.

Tell the new job that you have a commitment to the place where you are working now, but that you are free to start the week of July 17. I think any employer ought to appreciate employees who are considerate that way. It might make you a more attractive candidate.

In any event, good luck.

Good luck Syn.

For only 3 days, most employers will appreciate the idea of a loyal employee.

Would this new job be permanent?

No, another temp job, no choice in that matter. IF i get it.
I already got rejected from one job and haven't had any calls in ages. [Frown]

I agree with Tante. Especially if there's any chance of the new job becoming permanent - and you may increase that chance by being a professional about the existing position.

If it's another temp job, then I need to 180 my response. DEFINITELY wait.

Yeah, wait if it's another temp job.

Then again, I'm in a temp job and I would not hesitate to jump ship if a temp job more in line with my permanent future career goals came along.

Is this just for the money? Or is this new job possibly a "foot in the door" to a bigger career?

It's mostly for the money.
I am simply tired of not having enough money, struggling for cash and grappling over tiny bits of cash like that 10 bucks I didn't get at the supermarket...
I will not put up with it anymore...
