Is there a way to change the size of individual layers within a file?

Specifically, i have some images in a psd file, each is a seperate layer. I want to make them smaller. but only them. is there an easy way to do that?

drag them (the layers you wish to shrink) to another, blank image, shrink that image, drag it back.

Use the selection tool.

1) In the Layer navigation, ctrl+left click the layer you want to resize. This selects every element of that layer in the file.

2) Right click the selected area, select "Free Transform."

3) Click and drag any of the corners to resize. Hold shift to retain proportions.

(Edit: relative dimensions??? Err, proportions. Yes.)

The only other way i knew to do it was your suggestion Pix. Either that or shrinking the original image i dragged it in from and replacing it.

Thanks erso.

You don't even have to do the ctrl + left click. You can just select the layer and hit ctrl + t and it will put you into free transform for that layer.
