Ok, I have over 30 hrs of hmk left, and it's all due in less than 4 days.

My to do list:
-30 panels of storyboards
-20 second traditionally animated short
-Essay for ethics on the topic of Domestic Violence.

What are some ways that I can keep myself active and feeling great, at least throughout this night?
I drank some chocolate milk, ate some candy, washed my face with cold water and ran a little in the cold night air.

I need some cheer!

Give me an A?

Give me an A (A!)

Give me an L (L!)

Give me an E (huh?)

Give me an X (grr...)

Gotcha!

Best of luck Alt. If it's any consolation, I just got out of my second 3 hour exam. Out of six.

P is for the popcorn you pop so you have something to eat in your hands so you can't type your paper

R is for all of the reading that you are afraid to start becuase you know that you won't remember it tomorrow anyway

O is for the overwhelming amount of time that one can manage to waste in an evening instead of doing work

C is for the crying you will do when you realize what types of grades you are going to get because you haven't done your work

R is for the radio dial that you are playing with so that you know when you do start your work there will be good tunes on

A is for the the grade that you won't be getting on the paper that you are trying to avoid writing

S is for the soup that you make when you are done with the popcorn so you continue to have something to occupy your hands

T is for the test that you have at 9:00am tomorrow and you haven't yet began to study for

I is for the insane amount of time that you are wasting by reading this

N is for the nodding off in class that you will be doing tomorrow after staying up all night avoiding your work

A is for the amazing typing skills that you have developed since you have become an facebook freak

T is for the terrible grade that you know that you are going to get anyway, so why bother studying

I is for the inevitable fact that you just know that your work isn't going to get done tonight

O is for the outstanding organization of your desk that you have managed to accomplish while "getting ready" to work (we've all heard that one before!)

N is for never giving up on the belief that you will eventually do all the work that needs to be done. [Big Grin]

Best advice ever given to me at such times -- whatever has happened in the past, you can always start. Start again and again. Don't think explicitly about finishing. If you start enough number of times and concentrate for just 25-30 mins at each attempt, finishing will take care of itself.

I didn't procrastinate, by the way. I used all ther other time I had working on my other projects.

I wouldn't mind having my own cheerleading squad myself.

Kelly, that was absolutely amazing. It's my new motto.

And cheerleading squads are a good thing.

I'd rather have a squad of masseuses. If they want to cheer while they rub me down, I suppose I'll let them.

You know, there are laws against that in most states.

I had my own cheerleading squad once.

The police made me give them back.

stupid police.

Stupid rusty lock on that dark basement where I kept them.

The men in the white coats, they were not stupid. No. If you think they are stupid, they have that big shockey thingy. Nobody likes Mr. Shockey Thingy.

Except Tyrone. Tyrone was strange.

I liked Tyrone.

But I'm feeling much better now.

Hey, Altariel, I meant to ask this a long time ago---but did you start this topic because you'd been playing Elite Beat Agents (or its Japanese predecessor game)?

For me I am quite efficient at getting homework done, the monumental task however is getting myself to start. Its really kinda ridiculous, I know if I just hit "Microsoft Word" on my desktop and start tying out my name/date/class I will positively blast through the paper and get an A 99 times out of 100.

But prying myself away from hatrack, the TV, video games, a book, and clicking that icon is just incredibly tough for me. In fact I just had a meeting that prevented me from finishing up my research paper on Benedict Arnold at work, and I am resisting the desire to resume it right now!

Best of luck on your assignments Alterial, sounds like you better get the animation stuff done first.
