So, any Numb3rs fans out there missing Peter Macnicol as much as I am?
I heard he's playing a role on 24 this season--I don't watch it so I have no idea how permanent a character he looks to be. And even as I type that, I realize how dumb my next question is. Is there any scuttlebutt about whether he's likely to be gone from Numb3rs forever?
But of course no one ever knows who's going to make it through another season of 24, do they?

For a while Larry' character on 24 seemed like a real heavy, an out-and-out villain, the president's chief of staff who seemed to be joining in with a cabal planning to assassinate the president. But then he turned on them and tried to blow the whistle on them, but he was caught and left tied to a pipe somewhere. He will probably be killed in a few more episodes. Then he can return to NUMB3RS. After all, on NUMB3RS he's just off playing astronaut for a while.

I don't watch either show. But Diane Farr was on Lovelines last week with Dr Drew. She used to do the MTV show with Drew and Adam. She seemed to indicate that he was not done with the numbers show, that the producers were letting him do the appearances on 24 and would be back.

OK, I'm reassured to know it looks like Larry will be coming back. I like Diane Farr's character on Numb3rs now, but when she first started I was like, "hey, where's the other girl?" I can't even remember anything about the woman whose place she took anymore.
