So it has come to my friends' and my attentions that we always do the same things: play video games, watch tv, play board games, and that we need something entertaining to do that will not make us feel like we are living on a giant mobius strip of time.
So, any suggestions? (We're highschool seniors-- can drive, have at least some money that we don't like to spend terribly much)

Volunteer? Form a choral group or band and give free concerts? Have a bake sale and donate the profits to the Great American Bake Sale?

Volunteering is what first came to mind for me also. My high school aged son and his friends have a small entertaining business -- they do magic tricks, circus acts, clowning and balloon animals. They charge a fee to do parties, store openings and the like, but are always looking for volunteer opportunities as well -- mostly nursing homes and senior centers.
Or, you can make a YouTube video together. Because, Heaven knows we don't have enough of those out there!

Learn a new skill together--like cooking, dancing, or painting. Even if it's terrible, you'll have great memories of trying to figure out how to do it right.

I second the dancing thing. See if there's social dancing in your area.
And the cooking thing.
My friends made ridiculous chocolate covered strawberries once with white and regular chocolate. They covered it in one color and decorated it in the other.

Yes, cooking is the first thing that came to mind. My family comes up with themes for major get-together meals (Mediterranean, Asian, finger foods, etc.) and then does pot-lucks. It's fun trying to outdo ourselves and each other. And we eat really well.

Assuming you are male (it sounds like you are), you should remember that guys who can cook are very hot. I'm not joking this time, when I say I second this idea.
Pick a region of the world and learn to cook its food. Authentic Thai, Chinese, Indian, Mexican, etc. food is very impressive to those who aren't in the know.

You'll find (as I did) that cooking really is an attractive trait for guys to have. It can sound kind of silly to think of a guy cooking, but turn on Food Network, and it's about a 50/50 shot that the person you see will be male.
Also, it can become very handy later in life (say, in college) when you need to feed yourself, and all the fast food options have be overdone. It's a great skill to have.

So yeah, I'm a guy. Cooking does seem like a good skill in general, but not so much a social event (though I see how it could be). Dancing is just so foreign to me, my family is rather reserved and soo I feel/ would feel ridiculous and awkward, though I know it would be a good learning experience.... but yeah, I think at least some people can sympathize with me here, not that I'm saying my being closeminded and scared is good.
We do play pingpong, pool, darts and stuff. I think looking into local-ish hiking trails and stuff would be a decent idea. dang cold though.

Cooking is a very, very social event. If you pick a meal with multiple dishes/sides, everyone has lots to do. There is planning and getting ingredients and chopping and talking and laughing and listening to music. I almost never cook for people. The people I love most I cook with. And then you get to sit and eat all the awesome things you've made. In my world, this is frequently followed by card games, Latin, or Latin and card games together, but you don't have to include the Latin if you don't want.

I've only been in two cooking groups. One was fun, but in the other I got really tired really quickly of being treated differently because I was the only man in the class. The intention was good, I'm sure, but the whole "credit to your gender" thing gets pretty tiresome, as does doing far more than your fair share of the grunt work (I mean, yes, I did have greater upper body strength than anyone else in the class, but it's not like a lot of the stuff I was asked to carry was heavy enough to call that extra strength into play).

Give cooking a shot, and get your friends to go too. If more than one guy does it, then there isn't nearly the opportunity for others to coddle you. Some people enjoy cooking a lot more, and I've found that those that have a knack for it tend to enjoy it a little more. But skill can always be learned if you set your mind to it.

I definitely recommend learning how to cook, especially Cajun food. If you don't feel very good about taking dance lessons, consider acting lessons, or martial arts or maybe picking up an instrument, (especially fun if you can put together a combo.)
One of the things I really like to do is just hang out at local coffee shops and shoot the breeze. Or, if you happen to be artistic, you and your friends can just go somewhere and start drawing.

The wonderful thing about cooking, though, is you don't even need to pay for lessons. Classes are great if you have the time and money, but you can also just get a beginner's cookbook and give it a go on your own.
