Do proctologists rely on anal maps when they're first starting out? I can imagine that it'd be awkward to have to stop and ask the patient for directions.

Well, I bit the bullet. Most of the images linked are relatively harmless shots of couples in various sexual positions. I was kind of bummed, to be honest.
Disabling the IMG tag was a move of tremendous foresight. Not only does it save us from unsavory spam, but it also prevents lolCatz from rearing their ugly heads.

None of the spambots that visit the other forums I frequent post actual images. They want you to go to their sites, after all.
F., did you click on them on this page? *frown* I'm pretty sure doing do lists Hatrack as the referrer, and makes us prone to more spam. A better way would be to mouseover for the (correct) URL (or cut and paste it from properties) and post it in a new tab or window. Assuming, of course, you're not worried about spyware or viruses.

I cut and pasted into a new tab the url listed in the link text. No real interest in the links, just the images that didn't quite make it. The intention of the spammer was to post images as links. Run of the mill porn with 'click here for video' superimposed.
Viruses and spyware probably aren't going to cause me many problems. Not too many people writing linux-based malware, as it were.
And no, I never (ever) click on the spam links posted on Hatrack. That, as you noted, would be a terrible idea.

I think Papa Janitor's mod powers are not like the encompassing administer powers -- i.e., he has to send a message about something and wait for a reply before he is able to access the edit-other-posts function.
Edited to add: I'm sure it's being worked on, but I bet there is some delay in getting a message back. I sympathize with the sentiment, though.
