CAW!!

I love his Sag Spirit segments, and not just because Saginaw is only an hour away from here.

I also love when he got the people to throw General Motors' third quarter earnings report on the ice at a game against Oshawa. That was classic.

www.wikiality.com

tis truthy.

See their article on Him.

The Greatest Living American, The Honorable Dr. Stephen Tyrone "C-Train" Colbert, D.F.A. (born 1 B.C.) is a news reporter and anchor known for his romantic style, supergravitastic poise, supercalifragilisticoespidalidoso, extreme uber-hotness, and witty delivery. He is most famous for his work on The Colbert Report, and as the star of its knock-off, The Daily Show. The first is a hard-hitting editorial show that frequently targets the liberal media elite and other enemies of truthiness. Both are on Comedy Central.

As well as being a former member of both the Marina Core and the A-Team, Colbert is founder of the Stephen and Melinda Gates Foundation, author of the science-fiction novel Stephen Colbert's Alpha Squad 7: Lady Nocturne: A Tek Jansen Adventure‎, and its cartoon spinoff. He is the inventor and owner of the award-winning terms wikiality and truthiness, and as for the term factinista, well, it shouldn't be long before that wins an award as well.

Stephen Colbert is not the only true American Citizen who cares for America - just the best you can watch on TV. That is, if you're heroic enough to watch.

Morley Safer called him, "a sunburst of emotion in a time darkened by reason."

Stephen Colbert presently has a majority holding in C-span and is in the process of converting it to a 24x7 BEAR channel dedicated to stalking , tracking and identifying the fecal droppings of the most vicious killing machines on the planet. This public service channel will serve as a first alert to warn you of the presence of these furry predators in your area.

Stephen Colbert also is waiting for a opening to a long desired job, World Emperor. Because there are no job openings since Alexander The Greats' time, he used his skills to became a news anchor, which is actually a more powerful position anyway.

I think he is so much funnier than Jon Stewart, who has gotten to taking himself a bit too seriously, and who has lost his funniest sidekicks, Corddry and Colbert.

You are correct sir! Colbert rocks my socks.

"I could do this all day, I know this because I have done this all day." <comedy gold>

I wish I could find is comments on D&D, its obvious he has played it quite extensively at sometime, or else he is REALLY good and ratting off very well written and extensive lines. Either way it was hilarious.

BOOO on Viacom for demanding all South Park, Jon Stewart, and Colbert Report, clips be removed from youtube!

I still think Stewart's opening number is as or more funny than Colbert, but the guy is hilarious. I don't have a problem with Stewart lately, frankly, I think he's the only honest journalist out there doing important work. If he's a little less funny, that's fine, I get great news from him, and his smart, savvy interviews are amazing.

Stewart on his own is generally funnier than Colbert, but the Daily Show has suffered somewhat lately due to a lack of good correspondents. John Oliver is the only current regular correspondent I'd put up with the Colbert/Helms/Corddry team of yesteryear. I do like John Hodgman and Larry Wilmore, but they're only on the show occasionally. Aasif Mandvi is showing a lot of promise, but he's not quite there yet.

Hodgman was brilliant with the "look forward" shaggy dog.

I've really enjoyed "Back in Black." LB spews well.

Edited to add: on the original topic, yes, Colbert is awesome.

I've almost never liked new correspondents on the Daily Show. It seems like it takes a while to really nail down that style of humor.

I remember when JS took over The Daily Show from Craig Kilborn. He seemed too mellow and passive to hold it up.

Heh, heh. [Smile]

Couldn't really figure out which thread to resurrect for this but, last night's episode of The Colbert Report was one of the most hilarious I've ever seen.

Just wanted to point that out.

I wish I could find a collection of all of the back episodes of The Colbert Report and download all of them at once. Maybe I'll just go to Mininova and download just this year...

That's funny, I've always found the Daily Show a lot more funny than the Colbert Report, and get much more of a kick from Stewart than Colbert even still. Maybe I haven't seen enough of Steven's show.

Tonight's was another hilarious episode. I loved that he played air hockey with Mike Huckabee, and the conversation they had had me in stitches.

That damned Huckabee is just too likeable!

It's the same for me. Pardon the blasphemy but I generally find most of Colbert's segments rather lame. Not that he doesn't have genuinely funny moments though.

I don't know if my jaw ever gaped quite so much as the time he roasted GWB. The guy must clank when he walks...

Possibly the ballsiest move ever by anyone from the daily show family. And it payed off.

I listened to an out-of-character interview with Colbert a while back, and he said basically that he spend the two weeks prior to the roast going... oh my God oh my God, they're going to cancel, this is a mistake, how can this be happening?

So classic. I think this defines Bush's presidency as well as any other event- partly because Bush allowed himself to be cornered that way by Colbert, then sat there and just took it.

Samantha Bee is my favorite. She had a really good segment a while ago on AI that was hilarious.

I think Jason Jones, after Colbert, is the funniest correspondent the show has ever had.

I miss Rachel Harris too.

That article got a bit sad towards the end. Using the game to express how they felt about each other? Acid raining upwards? Ouch.

I recently did some reading about Mark Twain, the public and fictional persona of Samuel Clemens. It reminded me a lot the Steven Colbert, the public and fictional persona of Steven Colbert.
