Is it just me, or has the forum in the last day or so gone quite insane? There are more exclamation marks, YELLING and just general insanity than usual.
Now, I admit, it's entertaining to read, and a great distraction from the mounds of work I have to do. But I think it's making me lose brain cells.

Agreed. I'm definitely not a fan. Hatrack's had its problems but they were at least dealt with intellectually. If LOLcats start showing up I'm breaking out the bag-pipes.

Politics. I can't wait until the election is over. Then maybe we can go back to liking each other until it's time to elect the NEXT president.

That'd be me. Sorry, I was just calibrating a new mind-ray. I've almost worked out the kinks, so there's nothing to worry about.

"This is tame compared to 4 years ago, at least for the most part."
There was some hurtful, nasty stuff said then. I wasn't lurking right then, but I read the archives.
It's because this isn't a close race. Also, most people want change. Nearly everyone agrees on that. We want out of Iraq, and we want to stop buying oil from men who give the money we gave them to terrorists. Both candidates are at least talking a good game in that direction. Bush, OTOH...I'd like a refund, and I don't mean store credit or a gift card. Texas, can you please take him back?
Heck, even Texas doesn't want him. I think most folks agree. The truth is, most of us all agree on at least one thing "Anybody but Dubya! That's who I'm voting for. Woo hoo! My candidate automatically wins, because he's not Dubya!"
