Big prize. A signed copy by one of the greatest writers of our time! Don't believe me? Just read this review...
quote:Writers of the Future Volume 9 is the greatest anthology that I have ever read!...
...by far the best story in the anthology is Kathleen Dalton-Woodbury's Cinders of the Great War... we see a very bright future for her. Fame and fortune is destined to come her way as long as she doesn't bog herself down as an adminstrator for a bunch of ungrateful writers...

No, only the first 13 lines are posted on Hatrack--the whole story will still be considered unpublished; Snapper will circulate them privately by email to the other contestants.

Several people have taken their story challenge idea and submitted them elsewhere. I in fact had a flash published from the old 13 line challenge in Space Squid sometime ago.
So consider this a good spot for a draft. You'll even get a bit of feedback for your piece.

Is this still open? I have a week off during christmas and I wouldn't mind giving it a shot. I didn't see the deadline listen anywhere - but I'm pretty good at missing important details like that (and exit signs, and telephone poles).
