It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.

I had a rough week, only putting in about 4300 or so words. My NaNo project seems to have stalled on me and so I'm switching gears into something else for a bit. I'm including it in my word count largely because it's writing done in November. That counts, right?

Also made a few notes on other stories.

That's it for me. How about you? Did you write?

-Julie

Yes! It's a rewrite of something old--DREAMER'S ROSE. But it's new words and they are flowing. I see where the story needs to go. It's working.

Also, a crit or two and two blog posts.

Yes. I haven't kept track of the number of words, but it was a good week. Things are taking better shape!

Had a good Wednesday and Thursday, Friday was busy...then Saturday I came home to a leaking hot water heater and that pretty much blew my day and sapped my energy. (The water heater was something I didn't have replaced with my repiping job in September.)

Arranging replacement took up the rest of Saturday (and kept me up late.) Sunday I cooked spaghetti in the morning and relaxed watching a NASCAR race in the afternoon. Today (Monday), despite being off for the holiday, my time was taken up with the said replacement in the morning, painting one of my replastered walls in the afternoon, and, overall, of all things, the new Beatles album.

I've got a little more time...

I wrote 2, maybe 3 pages today at work. I know that's next to nothing but compared to my track record thus far, it is the empire state building of achievement for me. And considering it was by hand and at work while making frozen pizzas, it might just be the apex of my entire writing career.

At this rate I'll have an unedited rough draft of one of my nearly twenty planned works done within a year. Ahh, I can already smell the sweet aroma of success.

I dabbled on one of the stories in progress. I finally figured out what the enemy will look like (a closet monster) and the rules it fights by. I pretty much know how the sequence will go.
I just am writing a rather pathetic fight scene right now.
I never did a word count this week.
