OSC Answers Questions

QUESTION:

In Ender's Shadow you mentioned the book "Makers of Modern Strategy: From Machiavelli to the Nuclear Age." Is this where you received most of the tactics that Bean and Ender display in the books?

The strategic principles and "rules of war" discussed in Ender's Shadow were based on ideas in that book, but the specific tactics and strategies used by players and soldiers in the games in "Ender's Shadow" arose from my own analysis of the battle situation (which I, of course, also invented).
