I believe it's just funny to the poster and a few others.

I certainly have never gotten as much enjoyment out of seeing them pop up everywhere and reading them, as I have from actually making one.

Besides, the dobies and related threads about the dobies (of which there were more, I think) certainly swept the front page clean.
