So, Hatrack doesn't have graemlins for the actions I want to use all the time. Besides flouncing off and waggling my eyebrows at every opportunity, I want to be able to bat my eyelashes innocently when I'm denying things. I'm sure there's others, but I can't remember them right now.
Edit to add: And if the waggling eyebrows one had a Groucho Marx-type cigar thing going, too, that would be a bonus!

I think I'd like a raised-eyebrows-affected-innocence-I-have-no-idea-what-you're-talking-about graemlin.
I'd also like a raising one eyebrow graemlin, but I feel that would be cheating as I can't do that in real life. Because, you know, all the other graemlins have such a physical resemblance to my actions.

See, I raise my eyebrows when I'm being suggestive, not when I'm faking innocent. I can't raise just one, either. So I guess I couldn't use that one...

So maybe I could just use the batting eyelashes one for the same affect.
I tend not to bat my eyelashes though. I tried once and got asked if I had something in my eye. It sorta convinced me that I must not be doing it right.

Hey, Imogen - if you can turn yellow, shrink to the size of a smilie and plaster yourself on a computer screen in person...damn, that's one heck of a party trick.

You gotta kinda lower your chin and cock your head to one side and bat them fast three times, pause, and then twice more a -liiiittle- slower. That way it's so outrageous no one can mistake it for anything other than "I can't imagine you'd think such a thing of little ol' me."
I went through my photo directory to see if I had a pic that kinda looked like flouncing that I could link to, but no such luck.

Seeing it typed out makes it look like I put waaaaay too much thought in it. I actually had to stop and do it to figure out the "technique." But no-one has ever thought I had something in my eye... I usually get more of a "Don't TRY that with me..." or "I'm not buying that for an instant."
So either it's not effective or all my friends know me too well.

*giggle* imogen, I want to invite you over for a slumber party so we can drink girly drinks, paint our toenails, and practice batting our eyelashes.
Pity about the whole different-continents thing.

I'll forgive you, since that's kinda what I had in mind anyway. So.... for the girlie drinks, is all distilled liqueur kosher, or should I be careful what I serve? Or lessee, I could make champagne cocktails. :rummages for booze and glitter nailpolish:
This would be way more fun then going to work tomorrow.
Champagne cocktails sound pretty darn good to me. I'll bring face masks so we can sit around looking like green clay monsters for a bit.

Actually, distilling is MORE likely to make it problematic, not less. But many brand-name liqueurs are kosher -- as well as a fair amount of Brand X stuff.

I'm wondering what I3 is going to think when he comes back and sees what we've done to his little joke thread.

hey, imogen, if you're "borrowing" credit card numbers in that other thread we can go on-line shopping, too!

ElJay - it's a date. Amazon.com here we come! (How dorky is it that books are the first thing I think of buying with borrowed credit cards?)

Yup. Along with Disaronno, two of the bourbons, at least one each of the rums, scotches, and tequillas.

Oooh, I haven't had Disaronno in ages -- I usually buy a less expensive amaretto. I'm not a huge fan of bourbon, and less of one of scotch and tequila, but between the nutty ones and the rum, I'm happy!

No one really needs $600 shoes. But I think this is exactly what I've been wanting. Too bad it's out of the Gift Exchange price range.

Okay, it's been fun, but it's way past my bedtime. We'll have to do it for real sometime... except for the shopping-with-other-people's-credit-cards part.
*yawn*
*hic*
:flounce:
Edit to add: Of course I don't need $600 shoes. Need comes into it where? Also, we had a Tiffany's open in town this year. I haven't gone yet. I don't think the drool would go well with the setting.

O_o This thread got really weird while I was gone...
Back on the original topic (or whatever) in Tamora Pierce's Immortals series, there's a unicorn or pegasus analogue called a hurrok, which is basically a horse with pointy teeth and claws and bat wings. Can't remember whether it had a horn...
