I agree. I'll bet there's nothing more uncomfortable than running into an ex-girlfriend at a family reunion.

So what do you think, passive aggressive or self defense? Did she let him kiss her planning to injure him or did it just occur to her in the moment?

what probably happened was this---they argued, and he started smacking her around and pushed her over. Jerk suddenly "feels bad" picks her up, says he's sorry, and tries to kiss her. She---suddenly comes to her senses, gets PO'ed, and bites down.
Trust me--having been through an abusive relationship before---this is usually how it works. The abuser gets violent, then says he's sorry. Usually the abused (who are incredibly confused and feeling guilty at this point) forgive them.
That guy deserved what he got.
Or lost (hey, it could have been another protruding member )
