Hubby woke up at 2:30 this morning, jumped out of bed and ran for the bathroom.
He didn't actually vomit, but he said he could feel the burning in the back of his throat. He was also belching a lot and said he could taste dinner and bile.
He took some Tums, but they didn't really help.
He's never had a stomach-acid problem. Could it be something more serious?

It's probably only sligthly more likely that he's having a heart attack than the chance he's in labor. Probably a virus.

If it recurs then it's worth checking out. I doubt it's anything serious though.
I never like to say "don't call your doctor" because it's always better to err on the side of caution, but since they can't do much for viral infections anyway, it's probably a case where you can wait and see if it comes back or gets worse.

Is your husband overweight? Did he eat shortly before bed? What you're describing sounds like acid reflux to me.
