I suspect Kama may be off gallivanting with Katie. I have two German pdfs of computer information one is 4 pages and one is 8 pages. It's pretty technical, though it's a sales brocure so it isn't like solid words. I'm wanting to try to figure out what they say about power supplies (European vs. US current issues) and try to figure out exactly what technical specs I need. Could anyone help?

I've narrowed it down to only two pages that have the info I need.

I am willing to try AJ, though my German is not very good, especially not when it is very technical. And I don't want to make mistakes if the next thing you are going to do is basing technical specs for power supplies on MY translation [Eek!] ! Could be dangerous.

So if there's someone else willing to help you, you'd better choose them [Big Grin]

Else send it to me by email (email address is in my profile) or if possible post a link to those files, and I'll do my best! I hope you are not in a hurry, because tonight we'll be having a guest, but I can look at it tomorrow.

Since they seem to use standard PC power supplies, those usually have no problems taking European or US current. You may need a different cable is all, I believe.

that's what I'm hoping. This is our second choice for our ISA card problem. The first is to find a PCI card that does the same thing.

The CMI ISA Expander Hardware permits the use of Standard ISA cards (you know those cards you put in the slots of your computer, don't know the english name) on each of the following BUS-systems:

• PCMCIA / PCCard
• PCI
• ISA (for example if you have too few ISA slots in the host)
******************************
• Ankoppelung über PC-Card Schnittstelle mit PCMCIA 2.1 / PC-Card 95. Die Cardbusschnittstelle
beinhaltet diese Norm automatisch.
******************************
(don't know what to make of this, something like putting the thing on a PC-Card???)

• full AT-Bus speed at ISA-Bus, no loss of speed
• full support of I/O- and memory access
• full support of 8- and 16-Bit cards
• 2 I/O- and 4 memory address access installable
• supports interrupt from PCMCIA 2.1 Standard
• supports all necessary Bus cables (Refresh optional)
• synchronized ISA-Busclock with 8 MHz
• Bus cycles with standard timing from a 8 MHz PC-AT, enhanced timing possible
• System support like docking stations

The rest will follow

I hope someone else will check this please [Smile]

Not a problem. I also found out there is a guy here who is fluent but is on vacation right now, will be back at the end of the week.

Ginette you are wonderful! You've given me plenty to know what I need to ask when I actually call them. ISA is the same in Deutsch or English.

. P111-PCI PC Card Reader for Standard PCI-Slot
with Win 95/98,NT driver

. in connection with EXP-ISA-SET, ISA cards may be inserted in a PCI Slot (following specs of PCCard-ISA converter Hardware)
