Usually earthquakes are fun but that one was pretty scarey. LOTS of shaking. And it seemed like it went on for a long time.
Fortunately the only casualty we suffered was a flower pot. Hope everyone else in the south bay can say the same.

Glad you're OK, earthquakes are scary, in my limited experience. Why did I think you lived in Chicago?

Would you mind saying in what city or area in South Bay you live in? Or is there already a map of it up? ... wondering if I should call family in the area.

Never mind - just found some data that it was about 5 miles NNE of Alum Rock. Sounds like a decently sized one.

No aftershocks so far. It wasn't too strong up in Oakland, but it seemed to last a good while. Everything is still on the shelves up here.

Wow Pix,I'm glad you're ok. That link was pretty cool. I like how there is a link to Google Earth that pinpoints the exact location.

I scrolled over to the right a little and saw the 3 square for the one we had last week. It's just part of living in the West:) Anyone interested in some nice beach front property here in Nevada?
