Something that came up during my second reading of SotG...
In one of the earlier books (Ender's Shadow, I think) Sister Carlotta interviews Anton, but he can't speak candidly because of something implanted in his brain that causes a reaction when he talks about the Key. I remember that Anton appeared in Shadow Puppets (trying to convince Bean to marry Petra) and we see him a lot in Shadow of the Giant, both times without the adverse reaction.
It's been awhile since I read the other two books, so I think I'm probably forgetting/missed something. Was the implant removed somewhere along the line? Did Anton discover a way around it?
Or am I totally off and thinking of a different character?

The implant was removed but Anton still has some residual effects. He never will be able to speak comfortably about the subject.
