Virtual Battle School is only being updated also? I hope. Or has it been "terminated?" I'm a member, and I didn't know if it was dead. If it is just being updated, when will it be finished?

We love Virtual Battle School. We very much appreciate the civilized community that has evolved there. It would not even cross our minds to close it down. The only thing that might ever kill it is if the studio making the movie and the licensing the games of Ender's Game insisted that the site had to go - the contract would allow them to do that. But I think they'd be insane to do such a thing.
Of course, maybe when the cool games come out, all the VBS participants would go away ... that's the other way the site might die, is if nobody shows up!
But in the present universe (i.e., the one where despite all talk and efforts, there will never be an Ender's Game movie or videogame) VBS is perfectly safe.

Reading your last post makes me wonder....is the movie ever actually going to come out? There's an update every year or so but the making hasn't even begun....just scriptwork. Maybe I'm just impatient or paranoid but it seems to me that there's little motivation to bring this movie to light. If you please, Card, is the movie actually coming out? And if so.....could you estimate when? Thanx man.

Whooa Trance I think OSC know whats good for the movie so stop bugging him about it. i would rather have yarly updates than no updates. the first time i heard about the movie was way back in 95 on the scifi channel. I want enders game to be the best they can do. and i want to feel when i watch it the the directer, the writers, acters loved the story as much as i do. if it takes another 100 years im willing to wait.

OSC- That is great. Though some people aren't posting due to lack of time, I'm one of them! I'm glad that VBS is, or at least for now, here to stay.
trance- Chris is right, as always, I'd rather wait a long time for an awesome movie instead of wait a little bit for total crap.

Okay, is there any way that there can be a redirect set up from the old page to the new, like there is from the old General Forum age to the new? I have had a few other VBS-ers IM me asking where it was. It wouldn't be for a long time, but just so some people would know where to go!
