It’s almost June. Gotta be making plans and calendars and what not. I missed the SOTG signing cause of car trouble. So I’m extra excited for this tour. I know it’s a shorter one (from the back cover of the advanced proof), so no West Virginia stop this time. Oh wait…. There’s never been a West Virginia stop… But anyway… I want to figure out where the closest one will be that I can make. Fun! Preferably one near a beach so I can make this summer trip a double bonus!

They're making up the tour right now. But my publisher had the Star Wars novel release to worry about - that's always their big seller of the year - and so they couldn't begin working on my tour until afterward. Perfectly understandable. Things are firming up. For instance, we know that I won't be going to Fargo, Boise, or Houston.

OSC doesnt have to answer this, someone else who remembers can, but has there ever been a tour stop in Southern California?

Most of his tours include Vroman's in Pasadena and Mysterious Galaxies in San Diego. The last tour was east coast only, but for his new release book tours that's actually rather uncommon. I think. And we may be having a Shinda (read: Southern California Hatrack gathering) on June 26th -- look for the thread on the other side.

Hey now! I’ve been begging for a WV stop forever!! Not like I’ll ever get one, even though WVU has a big OSC cult following. But alas…. Fun! I like road trips so no biggie.
Lanfear! Sweet! I love it. What a great name. Surprised that one was still out there.

I love Vroman's! I got to meet Anne Rice and Clive Barker there. OSC is on my list of people to meet! I hope he comes to Chicagoland!

Have your people call my people, and we'll set up a date.
why stop there. he could personaly come to our doors, knock, ask for us by the names we use here, and continue to personalize a signed book just for me..er...us.

Cool. Then he can just finish up signing the collection, get a pic, and do a reading. What fun.

Dates are up. Not sure which one I'll try and hit. Was kind of hoping for an Atlanta stop since I have a buddy down there. Ohio gets two stops! Wow.

About the next book tour (Christmas at Battle School mayhaps?), I'd strongly recommend Atlanta. Did you know it has the largest B&N in the South East? Plus, I start at Georgia Tech this fall, so it'd be really convenient.
Unfortunately, I don't know if I can go to any of those. The only one that's remotely close (read: probably a good 3-4 hours away), I think I'm going to be on vacation during. (Ignore all grammar in that sentence.)

yea for Ohio! I'll definately be at the Dayton signing. Been there the last two times he's come. Anyone else? And how many will be at Cinci signing? I'd be willing to make that trip as well to hook up with some peeps.

I'm not sure I can either, rivka. Wednesdays are bad for me. Perhaps I could leave home around 10:30 AM to get to the one in Huntington Beach....

Actually, I'm seriously considering hitting the Huntington Beach one -- Tuesday is considerably better than Wednesday.
I'm going to be annoyed if I don't make it to any this tour either. *sigh*

Wouldn't you know it...all of the locations are close enough to tempt me seroiusly, but far enough away my husband would never agree to go.

The Huntington Beach location is fairly close to where I am.
ATTN OSC or kacard: There's a typo in the entry for Huntington Beach. The Barnes & Noble is at 7777 Edinger, not 777.

I wondered about that. I went for directions, and it asked something like "Did you mean 2911 Edinger?" Maybe 2911 was the lowest number address on the street.
Google directions are funny. 83 miles from home, sending me down the 405 for 50 miles, and it should take an hour and 20 minutes? I don't think so. The signing could be at 3 AM and it would take longer than that to drive down the 405.
