I keep hearing rumors that you are going to write either a short story or a book conecting the Shadow series to the Speaker universe. So, is it true?

Actually, he once replied "*" to a thread -- I think that'd be the shortest. This was back in the day when one had to enter a password at the time of posting rather than log in, and if the password was wrong then the post might get lost. He replied "*" to see if he correctly remembered his password (which he did), and afterward edited the post to include what he wanted to say.
I may have been the only one to see it happen. It was on July 27th, 2002, which had been his first day active for quite some time. Some rather self-centered person bumped his own landmark at the time hoping for a response from the man (and happily received one).

For the last six years, he's tended to post in spurts, usually coinciding with the completion of a book or a promotional tour. The average frequency of his posts declined dramatically around January 2001, and has never really recovered.

Papa Mouse your the Moderater thus aren't you a family friend? I'ld assume you were exchanging phone calls for years and hanging out at family gatherings etc.

I don't think there's any reasonable way I can call myself a "family friend", no. I've never been to his house, and he's never been to mine, and I've never spoken to him on the phone. Aside from Endercon and a couple book signings, our interaction has been right here and over e-mail.
As to the self-centered person, Rani.... *whistles innocently*

actually penguin it sorta does but only osc can see where all he has posted.... just as i can see how many posts i have made by going to my profile and then to view my recent posts. not saying it keeps all his posts but does keep a small record.
