In reading the November issue of Wired (14.11), there was an article entitled “Very Short Stories”. The premise was, Hemingway wrote a story in six words and believed it to be his best work. Wired asked 33 writers to write a six word sci-fi story. I thought, I wonder if OSC wrote one. Sure enough he did. His read:

The baby’s blood type? Human, mostly. – Orson Scott Card

It made me chuckle. One other one that really got me laughing was:

machine. Unexpectedly, I’d invented a Time -- Alan More

While reading this, I thought, what a fun topic for the Hatrack.

Give your best story in six words. It doesn’t have to be sci-fi. Mine is autobiographical.

Work all the time, still broke! -- Jack D. Lyons

Have fun with it.

Oops. Sorry about the profanity on that last quote. Good job to whoever corrected it so quickly.
