PC and 360. There is no release date yet.

Gamespot lists it as a shooter.

The battle room could be sort of like madden, where you switch characters.

That sounds cool, but I wish there would be a sequel for Advent Rising. That was a good game, and had too much of a clifhanger to not have some sort of continuation. Even just a short story or something would satisfy my craving. Mabey.

Unfortunately, we're not likely to see games coming out soon for Enders game.

OSC wrote in 'A Ender's Game Video Game':
"There are about six different games that could be developed from Ender's Game. Supposedly, Warner Interactive is developing them, but after three years exactly nothing has been done. What a mistake to let them tie up those rights."

I have some idea that I think would be fun to play. Instead of it being just one or two things. Making it a multi gaming place. You don't play as Ender but and one of the Unknowns in the book.

Your character has stats. Depending upon what you do you affect your stats? (Training in battle room, playing the mind game, playing some of the games in the game room.) Each different game is tied up into different skills. If you don’t like the game’s you need to practice at, or getting board with the monotony, you can auto calculate the games. For example, you played and played the battle room, and now you're sick of it. You can then auto calculate the battles instead of playing them all.

When you become a toon leader, you get the stats of the people who are in your toon. You can instruct your toon in general what area you want them to work on. Then work a 1 on 1 bases per ranks in “Teaching” you have. Same goes with being a commander, except you give the general directions to the toon leaders, and they in turn to their toon members.

You can choose what time frame you play in based on Ender’s arrival in Battle school. Will you be as old as Bonso, as young as Bean, or younger? One of the bigger choices you would make is whether or not to practice with Ender during free time. If you do your stats would improve significantly, consequently, you wouldn’t be in Dragon Army. Now, you might go on to become a commander, and attempt to defeat the Dragons.

Finally, depending upon where your character is at you might be sent to different schools. Possible you might be chosen to be one of Ender’s final Jeish.

Well this is a little off topic but video game none the less as posted on taglit israel

"A rabbi of a small, declining congregation on the Lower East Side is close to losing faith in God when he is informed that a somewhat disreputable congregant has died and left his small estate to the synagogue. Is this a blessing or a curse?

This narrative serves as the unlikely background plot of a recent video game, "The Shiva: A Rabbinical Adventure of Mourning and Mystery," the first to feature a rabbi as its superhero.

The success of "The Shiva," which was released several months ago but has only recently gained attention, has been encouraging for creator Dave Gilbert, who will design a sequel to the game and possibly an entire series based on protagonist Rabbi Russell Stone."

lmao this sounds like a game worth producing (groans) versus the boring adventures of ender
the xenocide.

LOVE this idea. Possible sequel: Command School. You can upload a character from the game mentioned above or play as an existing mentioned member of the jeesh. It would be more of a RTS game like Starcraft instead of this almost RPG game, although it would have to have RPG elements just like the first would have to have RTS elements. That would be an amazing pair of games right there. Title ideas: Ender's Game: Battle School and Ender's Game 2: Command School, or Ender's Game and Ender's Game 2: The Formic/Bugger Wars.

Not a bad idea, but possible problems:

Might just become a collection of crappy mini games. Nothing I HATE more than that.

This also sounds like a time based grinding game. Skill>time spent in gaming, IMO.

That's why I think it should have an RTS element to it so as to increase the skill level required. The Battle room should be all skill, or almost all, you can make it easier by raising your stats but just doing that isn't enough.

I think the most marketable game is the multiplayer shooter set entirely within the battleroom.

Followed by the outer-space RTS in the vein of Homeworld.

Followed by the Full Spectrum Warrior-style strategy/shooter set back in the Battle School, with army management, etc.

Followed by Clancy-style tactical/stealth shooters set during the Shadow series.

Followed by a Second Life-like MMO set in the Fantasy Game.

Any actual adaptation of the Fantasy Game would need a lot more going on than the Giant's Drink.

Actually, though, now that I think about it, on a basic mechanical level, the Fantasy Game sounds a lot more like God of War than like any modern free-flowing creative game (like Second Life or Spore, which was my initial thought). I could see someone adapting the fantasy game as a completely linear, scripted game that presumes that you are a particular student making particular choices for particular reasons. OR ... a dual-storyline game in which the choices you make in real life affect what appears in the game, and vice versa (as the adults are interpreting your game choices and placing new situations in your life).

i think your second idea is better, because people tend to get stuck at places playing games with no flexability

That Shiva game sounds awesome. It has a demo, if I can just remember to look it up when I get home...

I'm not sure how the Fantasy Game could work without making something like the Fantasy Game. Maybe there could be multiple objectives, like you choose whether you are playing for points, to find treasures, to kill all opponents, or to get through fast. Or there were those games like Fable and Knights of the Old Republic where your character changed, though I don't know if the adventures experienced were that different.

You know what was fun? That impossible quiz.
