That's how long I remained awake Friday and Saturday...through a rather harrowing two days of field biology and night of cleaning.

What's the longest you've ever had to stay awake?

(Oh, and sympathy is appreciated...)

O_O (Sympathy)

I think the longest I've ever stayed up is probably 22 hours...

There is something about the second dawn that seems like an opening into a new country.

Plane trips to England/Christmas Day 1993 (?)

The former, I find it very difficult to sleep on aeroplanes and consequently on an overnight flight I do not sleep. I'll be up for about twenty eight to thirty four hours at a stretch. (Then I'll sleep for fourteen hours...)

Christmas Day 1993 (?), I was a little child who was too excited to sleep, but I don't really know exactly how long I was awake. (Father Christmas did come though, I think that was the year I realised he didn't come down the chimney)

I've worked at least 48 hours straight on more than one occasion. I've stayed awake a lot longer than that this year, though. I don't recommend it. It isn't very pleasant. I start shaking all over after awhile.

I have slept about 16 hours straight, on occasion, with a couple bathroom trips. That's confusing, too. If it weren't for my pager I would have been confused as to what day it was when I finally got up.

36/37 hours was the longest I've ever gone without sleep. I was very cranky by the end of that period.

I made it into the 60 hour range twice during my time here. Consecutive all-nighters aren't something I'd wish on anyone. And the dreams after those are pretty bizarre as well.

Since graduation, my sleep varies. Some nights, I get a good 6 or 7 hours, some nights, only 3. I always get some sleep, though.

I went without sleep for about 30 hours once...but that was it. By the end of it, you couldn't expect anything of me. I wasn't capable of stringing together coherent sentences.
Actually, I ought to be asleep right now

Good night. [Sleep]

Longest I stayed up was 36 hours, or so.

Longest I slept was 17 hours, maybe more, when I was really sick. 'Course, I got up to pee, but I was asleep almost as soon as I touched the bed.
