The Metastatic Whatnot, an online literary journal, has launched its first issue. Whatnot #1 (Fall 2003) features poetry by C.E. Laine, Nathan Parker and kris t kahn, fiction by Alfian Bin Sa'at, Lance Olsen, Ray Vukcevich and Joel Lane, and an interview with D.F. Lewis. Read it all for free at http://www.metastatic-whatnot.com.
(Hope this is kosher. It's blatant self-promotion, but it isn't spam, is it?)

You did the interview with D.F. Lewis, right? I really enjoyed it.
I also liked the poetry, for the most part, but haven't yet had an opportunity to read any of the fiction. The site looks great.

monteverdi: Ah! I should have mentioned that. I'm one of the editors (Nicholas Liu).
Fitz: Yep. Thanks a lot. It being my first time interviewing someone, I was pretty worried I'd screwed it up; I have to learn to ask shorter questions and not define the parameters of the interviewee's answers so narrowly.
