HELP! how does it work? the format as described to us seemed very...instructured. how does it work? how do you set up your argument, how do you rebut, are there special terms for this type aside from the regular debate terms?

There are SEVERAL special rules for parlimentary debate. Luckily, I'd imagine that you could Google "rules of parlimentary debate" and come up with a pretty good list.

You need to buy Robert's Rules of Order. Consider one copy per member of your organization, although you might be able to get by with just your officers having a copy, as long as you have a Sergeant at Arms to force people to use the procedures.
