From the Hatrack Times, 9/22/03:
quote:
In a shockingly unexpected display of self-promotion, saxon75 provided a link to a poll located on his forum. Mr. 75 stated at a press conference this morening that he is trying to gather as much data as possible in order to settle an argument with an offline friend. However, sources from inside Sakeriver (who wished to remain anonymous) informed us that this is nothing more than yet another attempt to lure decent people to his forum.

This calls for a dobie, I need more dates. But I wasn't sure who to link. So I'll just post this as dobie repellant. For my good friend Saxon 75.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who immediately thought Star Trek when seeing this thread.

I was thinking more about This Episode.

Btw: Nathan, you should really seek out a gamers club or something on campus. It sounds like you're really having a hard time fitting in at school. I think that finding a group of uber-geeks would do you a whole butt-load of good. Hang out with engineers dude- something!

My friend works at Caltech's JPL lab and he is a huge DS9 fan. [Smile]

JPL and Caltech are fairly distinct entities these days, though.

In any case, I'm sure there are many Caltech grads -- perhaps even faculty -- who are ST fans. My dad and the various grad students of his I've met just don't happen to be among them. [Big Grin]
