**Captain’s Log, (Supplemental Material)**

Star Date: Pisces, third decantes; 3rd Year of the Monkey

Like tumble-weeds we rolled into the Garden sector
Guided and fueled by winds of energies unseen yet known
Beneath the hood--I understood--was Contraption
Constructed with sinews of thought
A manifested marvel of idea,
An idea to drive an idea, circles of creation
Unrandom destination:

Heady thoughts of power and need
(and many other measurements, as well)
What; why; how—-I’ll tell you
(we appear to be made of pure/energy, captain)
But then you already know what I’m going to tell you
(I have dreamed a dream, and now that dream has gone from me)
That Knowing is Remembering
Being is Accepting
And flesh is but a sweet, sweet dream.

Ciao.

I also miss John Keats. Almost enough to get Mama pregnant again, since her OB was Dr. John Keats. Almost.

But not quite.

Oh god, please, call no beings into this realm on account of me. I cannot be held responsible for such a sphere of influence.

So, I clearly see the Matrix quote in there (and if I've missed others it's because I'm too dense), but about this one:

quote:
(and many other measurements, as well)

Is it Izzard? (slightly misquoted)

Yes, there are Izzard quotes in the piece. In fact much of it is canabalized from various sources both known and unknown to the public reader. But you've got me here: what is the correct way to quote "and many other measurements, as well!"?

The 'Cioa' was also Eddie Izzard, btw.

Right, ciao, should've picked up on that one.

Well, maybe it isn't misquoted, as I haven't checked, but I thought there was no "many" in there. Now that I think about it, I can hear it in my mind either way. I'm guessing that you're right, and that it's not really important.

I lied away my youth in search of something
Something to make it easier to be;
The path that lies behind me is forever
Right behind me is forever
And the shoes that I’ve been walking in are me.

There were years and beers and songs of inner bleeding
There was hope: lost, gained, lost, gained, needed;
Kings who ruled without domain
Ruled without domain
Nor ear or hand to comfort those who pleaded.

In later days I wandered into everything
Everything but that which I had sought;
Search was lost to purpose
Purpose lost to search
And then was sold which long ago was bought.

I lied away the search itself and claimed autonomy
Broken sovereign lifted high, nevermore to flee;
The path that lies before me is forever
Right before me is forever
And the shoes that I’ll be walking in are me.

Well don't get too excited. I'm a backsliding lurker for the moment, that's all.

But glad to please you all, nonetheless.

Slash, haven't you realized that you're simply another pawn in the "agenda"?

Maybe I forgot to send that memo...

Stay tuned for future ramblings, I've been on a writing kick lately.
