Man, I'm glad I didn't go to HS in a town like this. I'd have probably gotten the chair for all the stunts I pulled there.
I think this is a bit over the top, especially seeing how it's an annual event (like senior skip day). Don't get me wrong - they got caught, so they do deserve some punishment, but I think being charged with a felony is over the top.
quote: ''But it must be a pretty safe town if toilet paper throwers is the number-one prospect,'' Marshall said. ''There were about 15 police cars in front of Hillsboro High School for about two hours, just for some toilet paper. It seems like there are better things to do out there. I'm surprised it caused this much controversy here.''
I loved this line. I'm wondering how they were able to clean up all the back cases, current cases and rounded up all the criminals, and then why they haven't shared these procedures with cops over the rest of the country?

We had students here in Tally get arrested for vandalism along the same lines. The rival school had spray painted their school mascot, so the kids trashed the seats at the football stadium. It was just ketchup and mustard, but the school flipped. The kids got arrested and had to pay resitution and do community service. The school was claiming it would cost thousands of dollars in repairs. Thousands of dollars to clean up condiments? Please! Just rent a pressure washer. The stupidity of the high school far outweighed the stupidity of the seniors. And school officials wonder why high schoolers have little to no respect for them. What a joke.
