Which is why I have every intention of educating my hypothetical kids about what alcohol is, how it hits your system and gee, 30 shots of _anything_ is just a bad idea.
It tends to be a self-taught learning curve because that kind of information isn't passed on because people either don't know or they're afraid it'll encourage teens to drink.
What bothers me is how closely this reasoning parallels complaints for and against sex ed.

You think so Trevor? I don't see that. I don't personally know of any parents (religious or not) that don't educate their children about alcohol. It is viewed as a much more acceptable topic in most houses than sex ed.
And I know even fewer than preach total abstinence to alcohol to their kids.
There isn't that "uncomfortable" feeling to discussing it like there is with sex ed.
