Why is sway the election in quotes? Does that appear on the tape, or is that based on analysis of the contents of the tape?

Or... it's also possible that this is a real warning for the real attempt to sway the election - an attack.
The notion that Al Qaeda has been planning an elaborate and massive attack fits with the long time frame since their last attack, and their general strategy of pursuing a few massive attacks rather than many small attacks. The election would be a time to do it.

1) It's a legitimate tape warning of a legitimate attack. 2) It's a legitimate tape warning of a fake attack in order to influence the election. 3) It's an illegitimate tape warning of a fake attack in order to influence the election (i.e. a particularly sleazy October Surprise.)

But if this is an authentic video, how will it infuence the elections? If its true, would it cause you to change your vote? I think that there are as many Americans who would see this as a reason to vote for Bush as there are who would see this as a reason to vote for Kerry.
