I totally agree. Coincidentally, they have supposedly just finished performing Thursday night in London. It's exciting.

I'm celebrating them because their voices burn with the strength of a shot of vodka, not because they were a fad in 2001. They sound angelic and that transcends other considerations.

They are a really neat band, downloaded a few of there songs before. Made me remember why everyone thought there song was so good back then. They should be more popular now...hmmm.

I read that they're working on a second album; haven't heard of a specific release date though. The first album is good, especially when I understand one out of about a few hundred words.

We'll see about the next album. They figured they were better than their manager and fired him. The problem is, the manager made them, literally. And they didn't write any of the songs, someone with the manager did. They've been 'working' on this album for quite some time now.

For the record, I don't begrudge anyone's opiniuon of tatu's music. To be honest, I've heard maybe a third of one of their songs. But they made waves on the Web a couple years back for being 16-year-old lesbians who were sexually explicit in their act. Even though they weren't really lesbians, and who knows what their age actually was.
I was more making fun of the previous fascination, and hadn't expected to see their name again
IOW, I'm glad you like their music! I've been on a SoCal punk kick lately, myself. Lots of Bad Religion's Stranger than Fiction in my CD player.

I wouldn't have known about them except that they are Russian, and my husband, a former DJ in the former USSR, makes it a point to know the music scene there.

I personally haven't been able to bring myself to care since I learned that they didn't really mean all those juicy kisses.

Meh. I have their album, and it's all right. It's nothing to get excited about, in my opinion. I do love their voices, but other than that, they don't really have all that much going for them. The whole mysteriousness gimmick, in which they refuse to confirm or deny anything about themselves, is more irritating than intriguing. It makes me less interested in them, rather than more. And the music, while catchy, was not all that good. I obviously like them enough to have bought their album, but it must be said that it nevertheless does not get played very much.
