Rented this movie because Entertainment Weekly really liked it, even though I don't think I've ever seen Clive Owen in anything. Malcolm McDowell plays his 650th Twisted Baddie in it. Jonathan Rhys-Myers also has a smallish part in it. (I know the name because I have an aquaintance who loves the guy for reasons I don't understand.)
Anyway, It's a convoluted, noirish thing. You see people doing stuff, but you don't understand how they are related to each other until much later. The people don't explainthemselves on camera, they just ARE. They talk without ever really explaining the histories they refer to, because why would they sit around telling each other's life story if they already know it?
I found it oddly compelling, while my beloved described it like this: "There's no music, and the pace is glacial."
Just wondering if anybody hee has seen it , and what you thought.
Or, if you've seen a good or bad movie on video and wanted to share it.
