There are no pictures. We had a small ceremony at a friends house because we needed to get it done before the end of the year for tax reasons (real romantic huh?)
We planned to have a REAL ceremony later but with both of us working (And work in a crisis mode that still hasn't completely abated!) And as time went by the Need for something fancy seemed to slip away. In the end, we decided to settle on a party in Las Vegas with Just Family... which we still haven't been able to organize with everyone's scheduling conflicts.
Besides, I've never been much of one for photos OR ceremony. I didn't go to either one of my college graduations, for instance. The Christmas eve ceremony in front of our friend and his family is sufficient.

Pix, that's wonderful! It caught my eye too on one thread that you referred to your husband...I had always pictured you as single, so it struck me, but though my memory was just wrong.
Congrats on your marriage! And tax reasons can be quite romantic if you're turned on by accounting.

My husband and I had a "marry in haste" wedding, with the idea that we'd have a bigger, fancier ceremony somewhere down the line when we could have more people there. That was 2 1/2 years ago and it's looking less and less likely; we're just now finding our feet financially and the last thing we need to be doing is throwing ourselves a party. Oh well, maybe for the 5-year anniversary

I understand small being good. We had small, too - my husband and I, the two witnesses, and the registrar. That was it. It suited us, and really, that's all that matters. If you got what you wanted, then all the better. Posts: 8355 | Registered: Apr 2003
