I have a short biography to write. It has to be on a person who: Is from Europe, Is well-known, and was born after 1800. Any Ideas?

Pfft. If you're going to do one of the helix people, Rosalind Franklin is, IMO, both more interesting and (unfairly) less over-exposed.

My teacher would not find it amusing at all. It almost makes it worth doing, but it is never a good idea to torture someone who is responsible for your grade.

write about whoever you think would make hoagland the happiest. or not, make him miserable, or uncomfortable, but get a good grade.

I really appreciate all of the suggestions. They are all really good ones. I think I have decided on the Spice Girls. The look of horror on the face of my history teacher will make it more then worth it. He will either kill me or die laughing or both.
Normally I would really like to research one of these amazing people, but I have just finished the week from hell and I am not sure I will get it done if I am not laughing the entire time.
I can't wait to see his face.

I was just kidding! High School is not the place to stand out and be creative. You save that for college.
Good luck on the biography. I can't stop you from doing it on the Spice Girls. Especially if that is what you want, what you really really want.

You should figure out who Hoagland's ancestors are, if there are any after 1800 that are from Europe, and write about them. THAT he would appreciate.
