I need to recreate a logo, and I don't have the font on my computer. I can buy it if I need to, but I don't know what it is.

The logo can be found here: www.pilkingtonmetalfinishing.com

It's the font for the lettering "Pilkington Metal Finishing" at the top of the actual home page - the one that comes after the splash page. (Yes, I know the splash page sucks - that's why I need the font. [Smile] )

I have eliminated Bauhaus, HandelGothic, and Stomp_JoyCircuit as possible candidates.

It almost looks like a Star Trek font to me.

It looks like whoever designed the page didn't know the font either. They used a different font as well.

Yes...yes, you did. [Razz]

Raia, I love that you didn't know it was me, but knew my last name.

---

I googled Star Trek fonts. There are some SERIOUS fans our there, whom I am NOT going to make fun of, considering where I am posting. But, none of them matched really. I'm going to try to work in the Klingon font in the site somewhere, though.

I have a friend who used to spec fonts for a NY design firm. He recognizes thousands of fonts on sight.

He says that it is similar to the Terminator font, but with a different A. Look for terminator fonts I bet.

Whoa. At www.myfonts.com, you upload an image, and it figures out the font. The font is Changeling-Bold. This is incredible.

I didn't even bother trying it, that site never matches the font for me. [Frown]

[Frown] I'm sorry. I was all excited about the resource.

It worked here though, I think.

I3, you're my hero today. I decided I didn't want to buy Changeling Bold and instead went and looked for free copies of the Terminator font. I found several here: http://www.free-fonts.com/terminator_fonts.html, and the one simply called Terminator fits exactly. In fact, I suspect it's the original font used.

So, thank you. [Smile] Hatrack wins again!

I dunno, Kat.

That Changeling Bold does look very very similar, but I see slight differences in the L and some of the letters.

But maybe it is close enough for whatever you're trying to do..

kat, that was a cool site. I particularly liked their "Clockwork Orange" font.

Sweet.
