My date (year) on my my computer keeps restting to 2020 after each reboot. I am on XP professional. I just bought a new battery and the date still resets.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? I just did a complete reformat and the problem started. grrr...argh. [Wall Bash]

What is really strange is that after I log in, the date is correct for about 1 second, and then it changes.

Ok, try checking your hard drive for a flux capacitor.

Maybe the date in your bios is set wrong?

The bios is the best bet since it’s happening each time you reboot.
Be careful when you go in there. If you don’t know what you’re doing in there you can really mess things up. Just fix the date and get out.
