I don't pride myself in being able to find negative aspects to things I like. It's just that I'm not ashamed to, either. I'm also not ashamed to find positive aspects in things I don't like.
That said, here are a few things I like without reservation.

I like my personal food groups: beef, cheese, peas, bacon and chocolate. I like Alanis. I like having more true friends than any one person deserves. I like Hatrack.

I do agree that finding the good takes as much intelligence as finding the bad. I started this thread to try and say that in a nice way that doesn't attack anyone.

If you really put thought into it, that's hard.
I mean, I was going to say I like learning, and I do. But, can I really say I always like learning, in every circumstances? No, because I certainly didn't like learning my grandfather was dead.
I like chocolate, but I do have reservations about it because it's fattening.
I like sunshine, but not when I get sunburned.
That is really, really tough. I'll have to think.

-cars, especially old ones. -books -my cooking -my mother's cooking -my grandmother -heck, my dad's side of the family -most of my mother's side of the family -dogs -mountains -sitting on the porch watching the sunset with a hot cup of coffee -being out to sea -backpacking -when my junior guys at work ask questions. I like chocolates filled with Kahlua. I like wearing skirts. I like wearing sweaters when it's cold outside. I like Cheez-Its. I like recovering from being sick and eating minestrone soup. I like pineapple. I like Guster. I like the down comforter Olivia and Ron got us for Christmas. I like the whole Fowler family. I like Die Prinzen, especially "Wer ist der Typ?" I like Diet Cherry Coke. I like water--drinking it, showering in it, swimming in it, playing in it in rain form . . . I like day lilies.
