Ok, so I was out at a JROTC comp in my state and my mother went to my cousins wedding. There she meet another cousin of mine that is my age. In conversation she brought up that I really enjoy the Whole series of Ender books, the guy sounded interested so the net day my mom went out and bought him the book. Yeah, so they can be embrassing some times but you got to give it up for moms, they do know what's best.

You're in JROTC? What branch? Where? I was in AFJROTC 3 years-- CA 882, CVHS, La Crescenta, CA.

::sigh:: My mom wasn't exactly thrilled with Ender's Game. Now she refers to it as "that weird stuff [I'm] constantly reading and re-reading."

Well My mom hasn't read them yet, but I plan on starting her with Speaker for the Dead, or should she read Ender's game first?

My mom continues to get the books on launch day and not tell me she has them. I guess she doesn't remember that I'm past my "Card is the anti-christ" phase from 1993. They should just add that to the DSM-IV as a symptom of bipolar.
Of course, I could start buying the books myself...

Awesome, Thumper! I also did summer camp one year (which counts as a whole year of credit! ) Do they have that where you are? I was on drill team; we weren't very good, but we did our best and had a lot of fun.
