What I have been trying to come up with are new products or formulations of existing drugs that will never see the light of day. For example, take a drug and a household item and combine them:

Prozac air freshener!

Or a drug and another product that are just wrong together:

Viagra Lip Balm!

See if you can make your own!

Actually, there is a lipstick that "plumps" the lips, causing a puffy, thick look.

Granted, I've never thought of it as lipstick viagra...

Actually, some products do see the light of day, like Bug Spray and suncreen combinations.

But what about Preparation H Bath Beads?

I refer you to the "food pyramid" thread.

If a body-builder can't reach around for sanitary purposes, I suspect they might be interested in a Prep-H bath bead to facilitate necessary medicating. [Big Grin]

How about Nair Nose Hair Trimmers?

Just squeeze the medicated applciator, apply the solution, and trim! for long-lasting hair removal!

BTW the Prep-H Bath Beads come with a black-box warning label:

For external use only. Not to be used internally. Contains no medication.

I actually have on my desk some Lexapro (antidepressant) Hand Sanitizer that basically says the same thing.

There are also samples of hand lotion with Allegra posted all over them. I once had a little old lady madder than heck because I wouldn't give her any Allegra Hand Lotion. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out that another pharmacist had given her a bottle of the sample from the drug rep...

Not really a pharmaceutical care product... And it's used more for dumb inventions. But, this...

reminded me of it.

Glow in the Dark Sunscreen! (Probably been heard many times)

Depending on where the emphasis falls, it could be the most obscene lipstick case yet. [Big Grin]

Never mind how its applied... [Evil]

I can't remember what movie it was, but the comment was made that someone needed a Thorazine Big-Gulp...

Danzig, we already have delta-9 THC capsules (Marinol)... I have also heard of people cutting up fentanyl topical patches (Duragesic) and using them under the tongue and calling them "Chiclits" after my favorite gum of all time...

IMO Duragesic patches should be used as directed, basically. I believe some of the stuff in the patches does a number on your liver if taken in a way other than transdermally. Used as directed one is high for three days! Besides, you already have Actiq for that instant hit. [Smile] And while I would try Marinol just to see the difference between it and a brownie, I actually do not use THC nearly as much as I used to.

I consider this to be a good thing. [Smile]

Please keep in mind that I do not condone or recommend the abuse of any pharmaceuticals. Danzig, you and I have discussed this before. I just think the world is wierd enough. But you, my friend, are your own man.

Via Con Dios.

I know you do not. Heck, neither do I really; I am the first to warn my peers of the possible consequences of their actions. I just choose to accept some risks. [Smile]

Some relatively serious suggestions...
Antibiotics that have some mechanism to degrade the active ingredient over time. No need to let bacteria get more resistant than necessary.
Time-release methods that require more work to circumvent. Harder to OD on, which is good for long-term users both illicit and legitimate.
More sprays and fewer pills. Anything that cannot be vomited up is better for people smart enough to follow directions.
Fewer combinations containing acetaminophen, especially prescription medications. I know too many people who drink heavily while taking acetaminophen, most of whom are not abusing anything other than alcohol. As long as the stuff is available OTC why not just tell the patient to pick up a bottle of Tylenol with whatever else he needs?
Effective but easily reversible sterilization for both sexes. Pop one pill and you are sterile until you swallow the antidote.

I once heard a guy described thusly:

"I don't mean to say he's an @sshole, but he brushes his teeth with Preparation H."

Since hearing that, I've been surprised by the number of people to whom the description applies. In a thin layer, of course.
