I thought this was very interesting. It shades countries in five colours; light green, green, yellow, yellow-brown, and brown. Canada is green and the U.S. is yellow. It also highlights the threats, such as right wing, left wing, kidnap, single-interest, etc.
I wasn't really surprised by any of the ratings, except Iran, which is coloured Green!

You also must consider other risks, as well as what countries you're likely to have to travel through to get there.

You ought to be able to fly to London or Paris, then to Amman, Jordan, and then on to Tehran.
