*inspired by afr's thread about people you knew before they were famous*
Anyone familiar with his music? He's extremely talented on a number of instruments, and last I heard, he sounded a lot like two of his and my favorite bands, Radiohead and the Beatles.
Thing is, I haven't seen him for about two and a half years, and he apparently has a studio album out now.
So, to anyone who's heard his stuff: what's it like? Has he turned poppy or lost his soul? Is it worth heading to iTunes and buying the album?
Anyway, it was totally weird to turn on MTV for the first time in I don't know how many years and see an old friend from college (Gideon Yago) talking about another friend (Jelen). Dammit, someday I want to be famous!

I listen to Ben Jelen. I don't think he has lost his soul, but I can't say I heard his stuff before his album came out. I definintely think it is worth the buy. If not for the music then to support an old friend.
