Actually, it sounds like something I would write, but I don't think I did. Still, I hold the same opinion.

I love sakeriver for what it is; I love Hatrack River for what it is.

I love that I can be a shameless attention whore on both sites. Neither side (thank goodness) has controlling share of. . . I dunno, sincere devotion to contemplative discussion.

Sakeriver has avatars and sigs.

Then again, I hate it when someone has a 14 line sig and they reply "werd up, sis".

That's like saying, "I don't enjoy Christmas dinner because of the Christmas tree."

I don't enjoy Christmas dinner because of the Christmas tree.

I enjoy it because of the homemade meatballs, sausage, and gravy.

Who would eat a tree for dinner?

Chocolate is made from beans and beans are veggies... therefore chocolate is a perfectly acceptable side dish!

What a bunch of superficial self-absorbed nonsense.

Who started all this crap anyway?

>>Maybe if it was a chocolate-flavored tree.

Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?

One of the things that Hatrack has changed in me is my love of dark chocolate. Before Hatrack, I'd sneak a Dark Hershey's mini chocolate after all the family had gone to sleep. Creeping down the stairs in the middle of the night, stealing up on the pantry. . . tucking my hand in to the secret spot where I kept my stash. So delicious, so. . . decadent.

And yet . . . I yearned for more. I yearned for a deeper chocolate experience. But my family were all milk chocolate lovers, and had been forever. Could I turn my back on that history? It was such a struggle. . .

But then, Hatrack changed everything. I know now that I do not have to hide my dark chocolate love. No, Hatrack has allowed me to give myself permission to love the dark. To revel in cocoa untapered by milk products.

Thank you, Hatrack.

Now, I shall give dark chocolate to my babies.

I would ask you what your other two reasons are, but I don't want this to be a "Why I don't go to sakeriver" thread. I hate those kinds of threads.

So I won't ask. Nope. Not even going to think of asking.
