Compassionate, craves attention, messy, open, rash, irritable, likes large parties, low self control, weird, fragile, does not like to be alone, emotionally sensitive, worrying, depressed, heart over mind, does not respect authority, dependent, not rule conscious, not good at saving money, more interested in relationships than intellectual pursuits, very social, frequently second guesses self, phobic, suspicious, not careful, outgoing, vain, aggressive, likes to make fun, hates to lose.
This test is pretty close, but as always, misses some key factors about myself. It is, however, close enough for to be mildly interested and post the link here:

I often find I'm a bundle of contradictions, but it did a pretty good job.

This actually sounds pretty awful if you don't know me. I sounds like the least fun person in the entire universe.

introverted, irritable, feels invisible, observer, depressed, does not enjoy leadership, reveals little about self, dislikes large parties, feels undesirable, does not like to stand out, submissive, suspicious, emotionally sensitive, not a thrill seeker, solitude loving, likes silence, fragile, second guesses self, negative, unadventurous, fearful, weird, focuses on people's hidden motives, paranoid, phobic, dependent, cautious, avoidant, semi intellectual

But then there's occasionally these few weird acts I do where I can become the life of the party - but whenever encouraged to do more, I almost always retreat.

Of course, just doing this personality test and assuming people want to hear about my results says something.

Also, apparently, I'm a hedonist? Sounds a bit off.

For ****'s sake. There was actually only ten questions in that thing asked in as many different ways as possible.

quote:
messy, tough, disorganized, fearless, not rule conscious, likes the unknown, rarely worries, rash, attracted to the counter culture, rarely irritated, positive, resilient, abstract, not a perfectionist, risk taker, strange, weird, self reliant, leisurely, dangerous, anti-authority, trusting, optimistic, positive, thrill seeker, likes bizarre things, sarcastic

Stability results were moderately high which suggests you are relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic.

Orderliness results were moderately low which suggests you are, at times, overly flexible, improvised, and fun seeking at the expense of reliability, work ethic, and long term accomplishment.

Extraversion results were medium which suggests you are moderately talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting.

Those seem really accurate except for the Extraversion one. I think got "medium" on that because I am alternately extremely introverted or extroverted depending on the situation and my confidence level at the time. Like, I have a hard time dialing the phone number of a girl I like, but I've done stand-up comedy in a club full of strangers.

messy, disorganized, not rule conscious, rebellious, rash, weird, ambivalent about chaos, likes bizarre things, anti-authority, not good at saving money, not a perfectionist, leaves many things unfinished, low self control, strange, desires more attention, romantic daydreamer, abstract, impractical, unproductive, leisurely, likes the unknown

Stability results were moderately high which suggests you are relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic.

Orderliness results were medium which suggests you are moderately organized, hard working, and reliable while still remaining flexible, efficient, and fun.

Extraversion results were moderately low which suggests you are reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and secretive.

trait snapshot:

rarely irritated, positive, tough, non phobic, fearless, likes the unknown, self reliant, high self control, confident, trusting, strong instincts, prudent, optimistic, willful, likes parties, prefers a specialized career, takes charge, altruistic, strong, high self concept, adventurous, practical, thoughtful

Edit: rarely irritated isn't quite accurate, though. [Smile] I think that part of the test is broken.

OK, I didn't really take the test. That's just what I hope it would say if I DID take the test.

And why are so many Hatrackers described as "weird" and liking "bizarre things". You all like me, don't you? Am I a bizarre thing?

I got bored halfway through and stopped. That should be part of the personality test itself.

I actually am of the opinion that my personality right now is too unstable to answer half those questions. I've had too many hormone changes recently (from extremely hyperthyroidism to extremely hypothyroidism) to answer some of those.

Are you overweight? Well I wasn't until about a month ago. Am I easily frustrated? I remember that until recently that it was very hard to frustrate me, but that has sure changed. For goodness sakes, I got frustrated just taking the stupid test.

[Grumble]

I don't think I like the new me very much. I'm having a terrible morning.

Moreover, if you indicate that you're overweight, the test appears to add "likes food" to your trait list. *rolls eyes*

I took the test twice. The first time it had nothing good to say about me, and simply wasn't accurate. So I altered my answers slightly the second time in ways I thought would be more accurate. The second result was far more possitive, but had some amazing inaccuracies!

I am so not impressed.

The best kind of personality test is the kind where you read the different descriptions and pick out the one that best fits you. [Smile]

My snapshot is, word for word, the same as Bannas.

Like Choobak, it almost makes me think that there are a few things I have to work on. But then again it's just a silly test, so I won't worry aboit it.
Although the 'dangerous' one kind of makes me wonder.

Let's make a Hatrack Personality Test:

Are you afraid of stuff?
(if yes, you are fearful. if no, you are fearless)

You are invited to a big party. Do you look forward to going?
(if yes, you like big parties. if no, you don't like big parties)

In a restaurant, when the service was not outstanding, do you think a 25% tip is too much?
(if yes, you are not a big tipper. if no, you are a big tipper)

Anyone else want to contribute questions?

Huh. Mostly untrue... I'm neither a neat freak nor a fraidy cat (although I do have some fears), I do like to be alone, I wouldn't class myself as hard working, clingy, depressed... etc.

I think I am somewhat good at saving money, generally heart over mind, pretty organised, fairly practical and mostly altrustic. Oh, and ordinary. I'm definitely ordinary. Although I usually prefer to say "average". [Razz]

Stability results were high which suggests you are very relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic..

Orderliness results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly organized, reliable, neat, and hard working at the expense of flexibility, efficiency, spontaneity, and fun.

Extraversion results were moderately low which suggests you are reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and secretive.

secretive, organized, clean, rarely worries, solitary, high self control, dislikes large parties, prefers organized to unpredictable, prudent, observer, tough, self reliant, very good at saving money, introverted, perfectionist, mind over heart, not controlling of others, hard working, confident, resolute, solitary, does not make friends easily, finisher, does not like to stand out, very practical, intellectual, unsympathetic at times, honest, respects authority, follows the rules, cautious
