I just hope the movie is well-received by the critics and gets a lot of good publicity from this.

By the way, there's a not-so-private screening of Serenity TOMORROW (8/24) in NYC. It starts at 6pm and here's the address: 1998 Broadway, at 68th StreetNew York, NY 10023. The first 300 in line get in for free.

How many screening were there? It seems like so many people will have already seen it by the time it comes out in theaters.

Jaime, there were over 60 screenings back in June to get the buzz going. I wasn't a fan back then, so I missed them. Which means I'll be all surprised and giddy on the night of the 30th.

I *am* a fan, and could have seen it three times over by now, but elected not to because (a) I'd much rather see the finished version, and (b) I'd much rather see it with FRIENDS on opening day rather than going to some late-night showing where I didn't know anyone.

BTW, if you're still thinking of doing this, the Browncoats over on the forum seem to have less than 80 who have committed to going, so I'm sure there will be a spot if you get there before 5pm. I hope they can fill it up.

For reference, the screening wasn't that obviously unfinished, and it is well worth seeing more than once. Even though I know how it goes/ends, I am pumped for the actual release.

I hope the general public likes it as much as the fans do. I somehow doubt it, but if they like it even 60% as much as most of the fans do, we'll be in business for a sequel I think.
