In voting for SotG for the Quill award, I noticed how many authors I liked who had new books but I had no idea.
Does anyone know of a service that will let me specify my favorite authors and let me know or just send me the books? No, I don't want book club. Just certain authors. You would think Amazon would do this but their "you might also like" service sucks. I know who I like. Just tell me when they have new books out! For that matter, Amazon is storing so much personal info on me, why don't they remember what books I've read and suggest I get the books by my favorite authors I haven't read.

Try finding those authors web pages, they will always have things about what is coming out when...

Amazon has a service where you can select your favorite authors and recieve notification when they're coming out with something new. Go to "your account", scroll down to "account settings", click on "manage your amazon.com alerts".

KQ, in my experience that doesn't always work, and I end up getting notifications for other authors as well. I never got pinged when the last two Dark Tower books came out (not that I needed Amazon to tell me lol) but I keep getting messages for other books that have both "Stephen" and "king" somewhere in Amazon's description. For example, Stephen somebody writes a King Arthur book, and I get a message...
