Well, Lynx's link looks kind of, um, phallic. And Speed's does have a certain, uh, yonic quality. [Blushing]

I think in a fight between sex and ashtrays, sex would win every time.

I admit that it would be hard to tell which has had a hand in the death of more people.

No, actually, it wouldn't; sex wins hands down. Sex -> babies -> funerals. Trivial.

Not to mention all the women who have ever died in childbirth.

Not relevant. One pregnancy implies one death, whatever the actual cause.

Lynx, dobies are threads whose titles parody the title of another existing thread. This thread was a dobie of the "Sox vs. Astros" thread. The point is to make a title that looks close enough to the original that people might accidentally click on it.

Some dobie scholars think that you need a link in the first post that has something to do with your dobie title (preferrably a funny link) but I don't hold with that school of thought. If the title is funny, or if it's good enough that you accidentally click on it, that should suffice.

The dobie is named after a former Hatrack poster who began the tradition and did it excessively. [Smile]

At first I thought this was about on old Madonna site/link, but then I realized the title says "vs.".

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that someone whose screen name is "Lynx" doesn't know how to make links? [Razz]
